02/28/15 Great week!

Hey!
How is everybody?!  It sounds like dad is helping Nate to keep up on his Haitian skills haha.  That is awesome!  It is so weird to hear about all of my nephews growing up.  I feel so old!  When I get back I won't even be able to recognize them!
Well last Saturday we were able to have the baptisms of Nikol and Fabrizio.  It was a great day and we were able to bring several investigators to the baptism to be able to see and get excited.  Nikol was very scared of the water!  She didnt even want to step foot in the font.  So her father picked her up and took her down into the font on his shoulder.  After talking to her for a little bit she calmed right down and was able to be baptized.  It was great!  Fabrizio was such a stud and got baptized and received the priesthood the next day.
This week Elder Nielson and I got our drivers license.  You think that the DMV in the states is bad.. try going in Costa Rica!  We were there the entire day!  But it is okay we got our licenses and everything is good!  The old secretaries thought it would be funny to make us drive home from the DMV, which is 40 minutes away, to get back to the office.  Elder Nielson ended up having to drive home and it was scary, not to mention we were in President's car because he had ours.  That just added to everybody's stress levels.  We found out afterwards that the biggest street that Elder Nielson has been on was the road to Walmart in South Carolina.  He isnt too used to the idea of traffic.  But he is a champ and rocked it haha.
This week we are preparing for Elder Alonso of the seventy to come on a mission tour.  He is coming and will be addressing all of the missionaries in multizone conferences next week.  We are getting everything ready for his arrival and the multizone conferences.
This week we had another couple of miracles.  On Tuesday we were walking in the street and two older women started yelling at us to come over and talk to them.  We went over and talked to them and it turns out she is a member and has been inactive for ten years.  We have an appointment with them tonight.  But while we were talking to them another person came up to us and wanted to talk.  She was a member and had just moved to Zapote a month ago and wanted to ask us where the church was.  After talking to her a bit we found out that her father isnt a member but has been going to church and wants to be baptized.  We have an appointment with that family on Tuesday and we are excited!
I hope everyone has a great week!  Love you!
Elder Nelson
P.S.  This week I was talking to a missionary named Elder Stewart.  After talking a bit I found out he served in the same mission as Conner.  Then after talking a little more I'm pretty sure that Conner was companions with this guy's brother!  I got a picture with him.. he is really tall haha.
Mi amigo mexicano siempre me decia:  Diga s o c k s cuando no sabe que decir.
